Marty Q Quadrato celebrates the release of "No Boundaries" Friday and Saturday at Oakville's Clockwork Repertory Theatre, at 133 Main St. The performer will take the stage with his six-piece band to perform selections from the CD.
The new disc comes on the heels of several musical successes, including peaking in the No. 12 spot on the Billboard Indicator smooth jazz chart for "Table for 2."
Quadrato has written songs for television, film and other artists to record, a career move which allowed the multi-faceted performer to pursue his personal music career with passion instead of viewing it as a financial support. In other words, there's no selling out when it comes to Marty Q — the music is from his heart.
"No Boundaries" contains 11 original tracks, as well as two covers: Goo Goo Dolls' "Slide" and U2's "One." Local music fans should note appearances on the disc by Taryn Papa and Eran Troy Danner. Quadrato also worked on the disc at Paul Opalach's Long Hill Recording Studio and Eddie Seville's Cottage Sound Studio. Other performers on the disc include Ed Aureli on guitars; Mike McCartney on bass; Rob Mcildowie on organ; Gina Palmieri on background vocals; Bill Rowen on keys and strings; Bobby Pickett on acoustic guitar; and Chris MacKinnon on drums.
Copies of "No Boundaries" will be available at this weekend's shows and at Elizabeth Richards Gifts, John Bale Bookstore, and The Grotto. The disc is also available on iTunes.
Reserved seat tickets for the Clockwork shows are $15 and include a reception after the show with complimentary food. Call 860-274-7247 for tickets.

Musician Steven G. Mednick released a new disc for fans a few months ago, with a lineup of several local notables performing on his album. Titled "Two Days After Yesterday," the album features Eddie Seville as producer, engineer and mulch-instrumentalist; Billy Kotsaftis on lead guitar and electric bass; Karl Allweier on bass and guitar; Sallylu Sianni, Natalie Modugno, Rose Lion and Tony Casagrande, all on vocals; Bill Beckett on guitar; and Chris Miller on saxophone.
Strings expert Bob Loveday, who performed in Bob Geldof's band, is also on the record; and Matt Cartsonis, who has performed with Warren Zevon, Pete Seeger and others, performs mandola, banjo and accordion.
The songs on the disc focus on folkloric and real life figures, from a blues guitar player named "Blind Sammy" to Phil Ochs' decline in "John Train," among many others.
