ANSONIA — Josephine K. Taylor, age 88, of Ansonia, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at her home with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late John W. Taylor.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Derby, on Sept. 2, 1923, daughter of the late Michael and Anela Klesyk, and was an Ansonia resident for most of her life. She was an avid golfer and was a member of the Hop Brook Country Club in Naugatuck for many years. Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Orange Senior Center. She was very active and loved the outdoors.
Mrs. Taylor is the loving mother of Richard W., Robert M., Gary Taylor and Geraldine Golski, and sister of Mary Opuszynski. She was the loving grandmother of four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Taylor was predeceased by her son, Robert Taylor, eight brothers and a sister.
Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. On Saturday, her funeral will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church. Her burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.
