NEW HARTFORD -- The Board of Education for the pre-kindergarten-through-grade six system announced Wednesday that it has hired a new director of student services.
Angela Ehrenwerth will fill the void left by Sarah Smalley, who held the post for one year.
Ehrenwerth last worked for Windsor Public Schools as the elementary special education supervisor. She oversaw special education programming for five elementary schools.
Ehrenwerth has a master's degree in special education from the Bank Street College of Education in New York City and a master's degree in social work from Columbia University in New York. She has her administrative certification from Central Connecticut State University in New Britain.
He starting annual salary is $107,000.
